Indicative terms

• Loans generally from €100,000

• Indicative interest of around 11% per year

How it works

Contact Bail Art

Use the NEXUS referral link to contact Bail Art directly and provide some initial information about your borrowing requirement, company and collection.

Collection assessment

Bail Art reviews the proposed facility and arranges for the eligible wine to be valued. With your authority, NEXUS can provide the inventory, ownership and storage information required.

Receive an offer

If the application is approved, Bail Art provides an individual offer setting out the loan amount, interest rate, term, costs and repayment conditions.

Transfer title

Legal title to the secured wine transfers to Bail Art for the duration of the facility.

The wine can remain within NEXUS custody, but it is placed under Bail Art’s control and cannot be withdrawn, transferred or sold without its agreement.

Funds are released

Once the documentation, title transfer and security arrangements are complete, Bail Art releases the funds directly to the borrower.

When the facility has been repaid in full, title to the wine is transferred back and NEXUS returns the collection to the client’s control.

Because Bail Art already has an account with NEXUS:

• no physical movement of the wine is normally required;
• verified inventory and storage information can be supplied efficiently;
• NEXUS can administer the necessary title and account changes;
• the wine remains within professional storage; and
• the practical arrangements can be coordinated between NEXUS and Bail Art.

Appraisal, insurance, storage, legal and currency-conversion costs may apply and will be confirmed as part of the individual offer.

NEXUS membership and storage charges are paid by Bail Art while the wine is in their care.

This custody and administration service is available only to active NEXUS Premier members. If you are not currently a Premier member, you will need to join or upgrade before the facility can be completed.
