Duty rates
On taking delivery of your wines in the UK, duty & VAT will be payable on any wines currently held In Bond.
Duty (for all still and sparkling wine between 3.5% and 22%): £29.54 per litre of alcohol plus VAT.
Simply multiply the number of litres in the case by the ABV (most wine is around 13%) by £29.54 then add VAT
So a 6-bottle case of 12.5% wine is charged at (4.5l * 12.5% * £29.54) £16.62 plus VAT
VAT: 20% on the original price paid
VAT is calculated on your cost price not the current value
